The problem: If you want to lose a few kilos, you can rely on a diet that does not contain carbohydrates – and there is also a requirement to avoid bread. However, there are options that can be prepared with ingredients that are now available in every supermarket.

For example, did you think you could conjure up a super tasty white bread without flour that you can even toast in the toaster? All you need to do is bake the bread in a regular loaf pan, slice it thinly and toast it a little longer than regular toast. This makes the cut surfaces slightly crispy and the edges golden brown and crispy. Here is the ingenious recipe for the good bread.

You will need: 300 grams of low-fat quark, 4 eggs, 100 grams of ground almonds, 100 grams of flaxseed flour, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, spices to taste (eg a little pepper, garlic powder, pepper)).

Here’s how: Put quark and eggs in a mixing bowl and mix with the whisk of the hand mixer until smooth. Then stir in ground almonds and flaxseed flour (which you can find in many supermarkets and pharmacies). Add salt, baking powder and spices and mix well.

Line the loaf pan with parchment paper – it works much better that way

Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper. Tip: Soak a baking sheet paper under running water and carefully twist it out – the damp paper fits perfectly in the mold. Pour the dough into the mold (do not be surprised, it is relatively firm) and press with a spatula and smooth. Bake in the oven at 190 degrees for 45 minutes. Use the chopstick to test if the bread is ready.

Allow to cool, cut into slices and serve. In the toaster, the bread becomes a little crispier. Tip: If you want, you can also add grains to the bread, such as sunflower seeds or ground flax seeds. Have a nice meal!
