It is well known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day – if you have a good and above all healthy breakfast, you have a good start to the day. Above all, it fights gluttonous hunger attacks that can set in sooner or later. But what should be on the table in the morning? It should go fast before you go to work. But always just a sandwich and an egg get boring at some point. Here’s a great recipe, recommended by the Federal Center for Nutrition.
Recipe for porridge from the oven: this you need for breakfast
Have you ever eaten oatmeal? Sounds pretty rough, right? The dish made from oatmeal, milk and various other ingredients can also taste really good, and has even developed into a real breakfast trend under the name “Porridge”. The problem: the preparation must be monitored so that the porridge does not burn.

But: There is another, much simpler alternative: porridge from the oven! Never heard? Then give this super delicious recipe a try. The best part: the ingredients are varied. Experimentation is required when it comes to spices – and if you do not like apples, for example, you can add a ripe banana to the porridge.
You will need: 5 tablespoons oatmeal, 150 milliliters of milk, 1 apple, honey to sweeten and spices to taste (eg vanilla sugar, cardamom and cinnamon), a handful of nuts (eg chopped walnuts)
Here’s how: Put the oatmeal in a small oven dish and pour in the milk. Mix well. The oatmeal should be moist and there should be some milk left in the casserole dish, but not float like in a flake bowl. Use a little more or less milk if needed. Let something swell.

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Wash the apple, remove the core and cut into small pieces. Sweeten the oatmeal and milk mixture with honey and add spices such as vanilla sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of cardamom to taste. Then add the apple pieces and the chopped nuts and stir gently. Put the mold in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

Take it out of the oven and try – if you like the oatmeal softer, you can add a little more milk and leave the oatmeal in the oven a little longer. Otherwise, take out of the mold, place in a bowl and refine with a little honey or maple syrup. Have a nice meal!
