The world’s best pizza dough – here’s the recipe

What you need (for 2 pizzas)

250 milliliters of lukewarm water, 1 dice of fresh yeast (about 42 grams), 1 pinch of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of oil, 500 grams of flour

This is how it is done

Pour the lukewarm water into a measuring cup. Crumble the yeast, add it and mix everything with a pinch of sugar and salt. Let the mixture stand for 15 minutes and the yeast ferment.

If you do not have fresh yeast at home, please replace one cube with 2 packets of dry yeast. The process in the recipe is not affected by this. Just make sure you add another three minutes to knead. The dry yeast must be activated and only then will the dough rise and become fluffy.

Put the flour in a bowl. Now add the yeast liquid and oil. It is best to use the dough hook on a hand mixer to knead the dough for at least 5 minutes. Then continue with your hands. Knead for at least another 10 minutes on a floured surface. The dough should be nice and smooth at the end.

Now put the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a cloth and leave the dough to rise in a warm place (35 degrees is ideal) for about 40 minutes.
